Highest Challan Under Motor Vehicles Act: Truck Owner From Rajasthan Fined Rs 1.41 Lakh For Overloading

It’s challan time again! This time a truck owner from Rajasthan had to pay a fine of Rs 1.41 lakh for overloading his truck on September 5 in Delhi. The truck owner paid the challan amount at Rohini court in New Delhi on September 9.

Bhagwan Ram (the name as written on the challan receipt), under the amended Motor Vehicles Act, has probably became the first truck owner to pay such a hefty amount for traffic rules violation.
